Incredible Range of Motion

The AXIS can operate as a free-swing joint and provides a 240° arc that mimics anatomical range of motion. The user can easily lock the shoulder every 10 degrees for ideal positioning.

Adjustable Abduction Friction

The patented friction hinge allows the prosthetist to easily adjust the abduction friction to the user’s preference. With 180° of abduction, nothing is out of reach.

Durability for Daily Life

Made with high-strength aerospace alloys, this shoulder can bear loads up to 50 lbs (including prosthesis).

Axis® Mechanical Shoulder

With a friction hinge, the patented Axis® shoulder joint is operated with switches that simplify harnessing by eliminating the need for gross body movements. The Axis shoulder can be integrated with other upper limb control systems with a special channel to conceal and protect power cables. Unlike other options on the market, this shoulder was designed to provide better task control, a natural range of motion, and ease of use for the patient’s daily life.
