 Name: Bridgette Brugh
Age: 11 years
Type of Amputation: Bi-lateral BK
Bridgette is a beautiful, energetic 11-year-old girl who was born with a birth defect that led to both of her feet being amputated at a very early age. Bridgette loves to be active, but in the past had difficulty going up and down hills,
running and even walking across grass because the prosthetic feet she wore provided no ankle motion.
Now with her TruPer Feet, Bridgette is unstoppable. She walks straight up and down hills, runs as fast as she wants and plays just like all the other kids at the playground. Bridgette's parents, Brenda and Warren Brugh, say she has never walked better and admit that they sometimes have trouble keeping up with her.
Her Mom is thrilled with the effect the TruPer Feet have had on Bridgette's confidence level and says, "Bridgette has been an amputee almost all her life, but you wouldn't know it now. She runs around just like all the other kids. That means so much to me."
Bridgette loves to be outside. She enjoys swimming, playing on the monkey bars and slide at the park, taking her dogs for walks and playing in the snow. Bridgette is in 4th grade and her favorite school subjects are Math and Reading. Someday she hopes to be a veterinarian. Her Dad is excited for her and knows that she will be successful with whatever she chooses in life. He says, "Ever since I can remember Bridgette has faced challenges head-on. She has a terrific attitude about life and values every opportunity to have fun. I know Bridgette will reach her dreams in life, especially now that she has her TruPer Feet."
