Clinical Application Workshop

In 1997, College Park Industries developed its first comprehensive seminar for prosthetic practitioners with the mission to supply prosthetists with critical up-to-date information to use in rehabilitating people with lower limb amputations.

"We wanted to offer professionals more than just an infomercial," says College Park President Eric Robinson, "so we built the seminar on practical and proven everyday needs."

Today, the mission remains the same, while the seminar continues to evolve every year with the addition of the latest technological content.

In 2002, College Park Industries and Coyote Design teamed together to expand the seminar. Some subjects covered include anatomy, biomechanics, kinesiology, gait evolution/training and locomotion with a focus on gait symmetry. These topics are tied together with product demonstrations given by individuals who have been fitted with a College Park foot by a local practitioner. The demonstrations and discussion with the user allow for an additional hands-on experience.

Locations throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico are selected on an annual basis to give the broadest range of prosthetic practitioners access to the seminars without overnight travel. There is a $50 registration fee for the seminar. Attendees receive 9.0 Professional Continuing Education (PCE) credits for completing the seminar.
